)=yesterday was not a happy one at all . mr chew wanted to leave & this time it's for good .hais ; why can't we play properly & make him happy ?why can't we have the same attitude as all his bands ? why ? i guess it's our fault , we don't listen to what he says. we're lazy ; don't bother to practise ; don't listen to what he says & we don't push our sec 1 s .i for one is guilty of all the above . what an embarrassment . less than 1/4 of the band came for practise last thursday & i'm one of them although i came back after a while .after what he said ; i'm really guilty for not staying in sch ; in band for the whole practise. but , i wonder , do the others feel the same way ? mr chew's a really good conducter & teacher but i wonder how many excatly respect him ?not to mention mr masree ; they give it their all but we continue to make the same mistakes and make them all angry . hais . mr chew proved to all that he can do whatever he set his mind to ; he brought zwinds up to a gold band from a cop / bronze medal one ; although it's through the grace of god . he proved to everyone that they [ the members ] can do it . he told us he was full of fire when he first step in , he wanted to take us out performing ( 6-12 times a year) , bring us overseas ; but now ; because of our attitude ; insensitivity & other causes ; we've killed his passion for teaching . i think to put it simply he's really tired of us & don't wish to stay .he also wanted to step down last time but we managed to convince him that we'll work hard &although he was also tired then ; he continued to stick with us . if i were him ; i would have probably quitted ; but he didn't , he believed that we could do it , he had hope in us ; but now we've dashed all his hopes . to tell you the truth , i kinda enjoy mr chew's " stories " . i find them interesting ^^ partly because , we get to rest but most importantly , the stories he tell are , how to put it , inspiring . mr chew has really sharp eyes so whenever he starts telling one , i would rather pay attention then let him caught me looking else where , then i'll be toast . he lectures us & everything but deep inside it's all because he cares for us . i don't know how to put it but he really did made an impact on me , passion ; passion ; passion was what he said yesterday . & i guess in everything you do , if there's passion with hardwork, you would succeed . just like science ,math or any other thing; once you get what it means & you work hard with that passion inside , you'll do well . don't moan when you're given homework , face it with a positive attitude & finish it . this is a guaranteed formulae for success . hopefully everyone can apply it .
i don't know what else to say . but everyone knows in their hearts that he is the man ; the one ; that can bring us to greater heights so why don't we all work hard & listen to him . if we could bring back a gold ; i'm sure everyone will be happy & that the honour is ours . most importantly , this gold belongs to our batch who participated , not the seniors . we used hardwork & passion to get back our gold , just like our seniors , but this time it belongs to us .thus , i hope the peeps who have seen my post will be motivated to play their part in band & this little "action" for coming to all band practises will go a long way . we've only got tomorrow to prove to mr chew that we can do it .jiayous everyone ; show him that we have the passion in us . don't disappoint him anymore . treasure him ; don't wait till he's really gone then you [ we ] start to regret ; by then it would be all too late . do what's right , now ! one last chance --
